BAROLO 'BRUNATE' VIETTI 2019 DESCRIPTION

"Brunate" is a Barolo, which, to all those who are fans of great red wines from Piedmont, will immediately convey a thrill of admiration. It is, in fact, a bottle named after one of the most historic crus of the entire appellation, and which, as if that were not enough, combines the nobility of origin with a brand, that of Vietti, which has always been synonymous with quality wine. A label where personality and character abound, thanks also to the long period of ageing, at the end of which the wine presents itself with just the right amount of elegance and austere aristocracy.

This Barolo "Brunate" comes from the pure grapes of an indigenous variety that, in Piedmont, has always given rise to great wines, Nebbiolo. The grapes of this variety grow within one of the most historical cru of the entire appellation, Brunate, which also gives its name to the label. Here, in La Morra, the vineyard faces south, and the vines, which have an average age of about 45 years, are rooted in a terroir composed mainly of limestone and clay. The berries, once harvested, cold macerate for 96 hours, then ferment for 18 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 30 and 32 degrees. Ageing takes place for a total of 30 months, divided between Slavonian oak barrels and barriques, after which the wine is bottled without any filtration.

The red wine "Brunate" is a Barolo DOCG that reveals itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of ruby, intense and deep. The range of notes that envelops the nostrils moves on spicy and fruity sensations, which, on the finish, veers towards more ethereal touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied and refined, with a sip in a balance between all the components. It ends with a closure marked by a very long persistence. A signature Vietti red that reaches the qualitative heights of the entire denomination, perfect for giving as a gift to all lovers of great Italian wines.
