The Magno Megonio, produced from native grape Magliocco, is an intensely flavored wine, full bodied and elegant with a fascinating hint of plum. It was 1950 when he began the adventure of Antonio and Nicodemo Librandi. A perfect symbiosis between the two brothers, able to transform the family business into one of the most important Italian wineries, an absolute reference for those who love wine of Calabria. Over the years, Antonio and Nicodemo, helped by their sons and an ample staff, continue their tireless work in defense of territory in Cirò Marina, thanks to a priceless work of preserving the vines recovered in all Calabria. Through the hard work of the winery some grapes as Magliocco have been reborn, to which the winery has done to give new shine with this elegant Magno Megonio. This wine is a very important example, because it comes directly from the ancient Calabrian tradition: the Magliocco, in fact, is a vine found in small percentages in many of the oldest vineyards in the region. Gradually supplanted by the easier and more productive Gaglioppo, was used in the past to complete the wines of the area. The truly innovative aspect of the Magno Megonio is encountered, then, in the vinification of this noble and ancient vine. Innovation respecting tradition, then, a thought which fully reflects the company philosophy.
