Moscato d'Asti 'Vite Vecchia' Ca' d'Gal 2016

The Moscato d' Asti Vigna Vecchia is created with the hectare of Moscato Bianco grapes in Canelli, that thrive for more than fifty years on the Valdivilla hill, fully exposed to the south and kissed by the sun, the vines enjoys a light soil, rich sandy of marine sedimentation. Alessabdro Boido is strongly involved in the regard of the fascinating grape variety of Moscato d'Asti and he has made this a real cru vineyard. This version of Moscato d' Asti provides, besides the use of the Vigna Vecchia grapes harvested later than the other, a long stay on the yeasts, until the spring when there is the second fermentation. Only after five years of evolution it is commercially available. But this is a wine for which it is worth to wait for its extraordinary intensity that will be positively impressed in your minds and it will changes forever your perception of Moscato d' Asti. In its youth the color is straw yellow and it releases aromatic notes of white-fleshed peach, gooseberry, elderberry and chamomile: an aromatic complexity enriched in the mouth by feelings of orange blossom honey and candied fruit with grains of salt and sugar. With the aging it enriches its perfumes with sage and wisteria, preserving a suffused lightness of fruit, moved across the tropical pineapple with the freshness and sweetness of yellow plums. Moscato d' Asti Vigna Vecchia is a refreshing nectar as jasmine tea, with an ending of mineral hints. The palate is vibrant, rich and full in harmony with pleasant long finish. A wine that can age extraordinary, its freshness and its complexity will remain buoyant for up to ten years.
