The Müller Thurgau from Alois Lageder is an aromatic, rich white wine with a harmonious and fragrant sip that comes from vineyards cultivated in the northernmost area of South Tyrol. It is precisely to the cool climate of the altitude of the Valle Isarco, that this white grape variety gives some of the best versions ever. Its fruity character, floral and slightly spicy, is always supported by a fresh and savory vein, which gives the mouthfeel a great balance, making it particularly fine and elegant. It is ideal to taste during the aperitif or to accompany seafood appetizers with a delicate taste.
The Müller Thurgau wine by Alois Lageder is made from grapes of the homonymous grape variety, born in the late nineteenth century from a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royale. In the climate of the Valle Isarco, particularly cool, always ventilated and characterized by remarkable temperature variations, it expresses itself with finesse, preserving an excellent balance between fruit richness and citrus freshness. The vineyards are cultivated in the area between Chiusa and Bressanone, at an altitude between 500 and 920 meters above sea level, on land composed of shale, sand and pebbles of morainic origin. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine ages on fine lees for at least 4 months.
Alois Lageder’s Müller Thurgauu white is a label made by the famous Magrè winery with the grapes of some consignors, who have always been linked to the Lageder family. It is a bottle from the range of classic wines, pure and authentic expressions of the vines, coming from the areas where they are best expressed. They represent the perfect synthesis of a variety, a microclimate and a soil. The straw-yellow color with greenish reflections betrays its fragrant youth, which is also manifested in a bouquet dominated by pleasing floral, citrus, white fruit pulp, apricot, nutmeg and soft spices. The mouthfeel confirms the slightly aromatic profile, rich and intense, which leads to a harmonious, savory and balanced finish. The ideal label for those who love intense rosé.
