The Nebbiolo "Fralù" is a harmonious and elegant, full-bodied wine aged in barrique for at least 8 months. Juicy nights of fresh fruit, black cherries and raspberries combine with elegant floral and spicy nuances in a crisp, precise and balanced taste
Bruno Rocca's "Fralù" is a great Nebbiolo, one that is more like a Barbaresco than a young Nebbiolo. Those who know the Langhe know that Bruno Rocca has become an absolute benchmark, a family that has always been devoted to wine and maintains a peasant background.
Initially, the grapes were vinified to produce wines to be sold in bulk to customers passing through the winery, but with the death of his father in 1978, the winery passed into the hands of his son Bruno Rocca, who decided to turn the family winery around and began bottling the wines produced. Thus was born a staple of Langhe oenology that gives us this "Fralù," a Nebbiolo that is made from grapes grown in the youngest vineyards, on vines that are between 6 and 7 years old, and that is left to macerate in steel for 7-10 days in order to preserve the bouquet of fresh fruit and the characteristic freshness that distinguishes Nebbiolo.
Bruno Rocca lets it age for 8-12 months in French oak barrels, bringing to the bottle a beautifully textured, harmonious and pleasant Nebbiolo with a broad and intense bouquet of fruit where raspberry and black cherry stand out. A beautifully structured Nebbiolo that offers a tannic texture absolutely typical of the grape variety.
