The Moscato Passito di Saracena of Cantine Viola is the charming expression of one bests Italian wine. The winery is located in the beautiful town of Saracena, already known in the sixteenth century because of the production of a Muscat destined for the table of Pope Pius IV. It could not be otherwise for the excellent country's indigenous grape called Moscatello di Saracena; today the Viola family has been producing with passion and ability, creating the amber nectar that fills the bottles of Moscato Passito di Saracena. After teaching for almost forty years, Luigi Viola has now dedicated himself to his greatest passion: the area of Saracena, reevaluating its cultural tradition and recovering the grape Moscatello di Saracena. It is with passion and love for its land, along with his family, Luigi Viola was able to create a small miracle of Calabrian oenology: the Moscato Passito di Saracena of Cantine Viola. Composed by an antique mixture of Guarnaccia, Malvasia and Muscatel grapes, the Moscato Passito di Saracena is now a "cultural heritage" of our country. The Moscato Passito di Saracena of Cantine Viola it's lovely with its golden color enriched by brilliant coppery reflections and its expressive warm notes; is romantic and persuasive thanks to his flavours of orange skin, lavender and glazed almonds.
