PINOT NERO ALOIS LAGEDER 2021 DESCRIPTION

Alois Lageder’s Pinot Noir is a bottle of great pleasure, fresh, agile and smooth, made following the best custom of South Tyrolean reds. The famous grape of Burgundy has found in South Tyrol a land of choice to express fragrant and fruity wines, offering the classic aromas of berries, typical of the variety. Elegant and essential, it is a label that highlights the extraordinary qualities of the grape in its younger, simpler and easier version. It is a red ready to be tasted, very versatile at the table and especially suitable to accompany tasty first patties or main courses based on white meat.

Alois Lageder’s Pinot Noir is produced by one of the great South Tyrolean wine families, who run an estate near Magrè. From generation to generation has been handed down the love for the land and the passion in the art of producing healthy and genuine labels, which are a true and authentic expression of the territory. The grapes come from vineyards cultivated in the hilly territory of Pochi, Appiano and Cortaccia at an altitude between 300 and 450 meters above sea level. The heterogeneous soils, composed of limestone, clays, sands and good temperature ranges, allow the grapes to mature slowly in an always perfect way. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins. It ages for a period of 12 months in wooden barrels and steel tanks, before being bottled.

Pinot Noir Lageder is one of the great classics of Magrè winery. Burgundy grapes have been a staple in South Tyrol for centuries, where they soon learned to reserve the most suitable plots. Its almost transparent ruby red color reveals its lively youth, which is confirmed by a bouquet characterized by delicate aromas of small red berries, floral hints and slight spicy sensations. Dynamic and agile on the palate, it has pleasantly multifaceted aromas and a silky tannic texture. The finish is very fresh and characterized by a pleasant savory connotation. Ideal for those who love young and simple reds.
