The Pinot Nero "Noir" by Tenuta Mazzolino is one of the most beautiful expressions of Pinot Noir from the Oltrepò Pavese; a grape and a wine that you either love or hate. Tame it is not easy, it should be studied in detail, it needs to climates with extreme temperature and soils with specific characteristics; it takes certain qualities with manufacturers to grow Pinot Noir and make a wine of great quality. At Tenuta Mazzolino know how to do this; the vineyards are located in Corvino San Quirico, on clayey soils and limestone, exposed to the North and North-West, launched in 1980 using clones of Pinot Noir imported directly from Burgundy. The harvest is done entirely by hand and the grapes are selected for a second time to maximize quality. After fermentation in steel, the Pinot Nero "Noir" is aged for about one year in French oak barriques, Allier and Troncais. In the glass it offers in its classic color, ruby red with timid orange reflections, and with a perfume that evolves from small red fruits, until the rose hips, leather and fur. The Pinot Nero "Noir" by Tenuta Mazzolino is a noble and red wine of great importance that it soon became the symbol of the culture and tradition of wine from Oltrepò Pavese.
