The winery Maccario Dringenberg is located in San Biagio della Cima, a small village in the province of Imperia, all alleyways and staircases, which make it difficult for the transit of any means motor. The small winery property is located right in the center of this village, and it forces the manual transfer of the grapes for winemaking, but also all the work in the vineyard is carried out manually, and because plants, sapling Provencal, are located on terraces very steep, so that it is virtually impossible to work mechanically, and because the 2.5 hectares of vineyards are divided into several small plots. The owner, Joan Macarius, a degree in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, is in 2001, in his early twenties, to lead the family business, dating back to 1800, the untimely death of his father. Today is assisted by her husband Dringenberg Goetz, who met her during a holiday on the Ligurian coast and decided to share his life with her, leaving behind his native Monaco of Bavaria. Passion, unconditional love for their work and sacrifice, as in this wonderful land, but inaccessible, everything is difficult, have guided the courageous choices of Joan and her husband. Some vineyards have a soil composed of sandstone and limestone, other clays solidified, which in contact with the weather strip and shatter into small pieces. Pride of the Company is the cru Luvaira Rossese Dolceacqua, where they live and produce good grapes centenarians strains of this variety. Obviously the wines produced are of Rossese, and on all stands Rossese Dolceacqua Superiore "Posau", which today is among the best Italian red wines.
