The Terre del Ving winery is a family-run establishment based in Volterra, which is a small town at the crossroads of the provinces of Florence, Pisa and Siena. The project began in 2007 with the idea of Stefano Gonelli, an engineer and now winemaker who is convinced and satisfied with his choices, who loves to get involved, get his hands dirty and interpret the nature that surrounds him. Stefano has a strong respect for the land and the environment and is a great supporter of Rudolf Steiner's biodynamic principles. His biodynamic approach in the vineyard has also become, as the producer himself says, his philosophy of life and his way of living it. It is a path that has radically changed him, transforming him into a true guardian of the health and vitality of the land. Stefano defines his viticulture as "nomadic" as it is in constant movement, shifting, transforming and changing, year after year. His wines are always unique and "never the same, always bringing new flavours, experiences, emotions and stories to the table".

The Podere Borgaruccio estate covers an area of approximately 5 hectares of vineyards, nestled among rolling hills dotted with olive groves and woods. Furthermore, in 2015 Terre del Ving began a new 5-hectare adventure at the Podere Campordigno estate, which is near the Bolgheri coast, in the heart of the Montescudaio area. In these estates, biodiversity reigns supreme as wildlife and local flora intertwine in a very characteristic rural setting, which once again evokes the concept of environmental sustainability. To preserve this natural setting, Stefano has abolished all forms of synthetic chemicals, allowing the soil to breathe spontaneously and giving the plants energy. The varieties grown at Borgaruccio are those typical of the area and include primarily Sangiovese, followed by Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera, Trebbiano, Procanico, Malvasia Bianca del Chianti and San Colombano. While in Campordigno, the typical Bolgheri varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are cultivated. The soil is clayey and rich in tuff sand and marine fossils. Even in the cellar, the objective is to intervene as little as possible, allowing nature to take its course. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using indigenous yeasts, no invasive processes are carried out (filtration, clarification and addition of sulphites) and the wines are aged in steel and wood.

The wines of Terre del Ving are genuine, pleasantly rustic and artisanal expressions. Vibrant, lively and direct, they convey the purest essence of the territory and are full of energy, fragrances, aromas and flavours that reflect this small, characteristic corner of Tuscany.
