The Ribolla Gialla Rosa Bosco wine, signed by the De Puppi winery, is a white that drinks with great pleasantness, without being tiring, but rather, proving to be punctually enveloping thanks to a subtle sip, from which a fresh and mineral texture emerges. This is a bottle that wraps the palate thanks to a rounded sensation that comes from its partial ageing in wood. A label that narrates one of the most interesting Friulian indigenous wines, to be tried to grapple with the great quality that characterizes Friulian whites.
Ribolla Gialla Rosa Bosco is made by the De Puppi winery from one of Friuli Venezia Giulia's most representative indigenous white grapes, Ribolla Gialla. The vines grow on the hills of Rosazzo, a highly suitable terroir whose subsoil is composed of marls of Eocene origin. The grapes, harvested around mid-September by hand, once they reach the winemaking facilities, undergo cryomaceration, fermenting both in steel containers and in barriques at a controlled temperature. Refinement continues with the same logic, both in steel and in wood, for a few months, and we then proceed with the blending of the two different batches.
This Ribolla Gialla Rosa Bosco reveals itself to the eye with a very bright, golden colour. The olfactory spectrum moves between refreshing and enveloping notes, mineral in character, enriched by more fruity and floral effluvia, in which touches of herbs can be sensed. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, with a sip marked by a pleasant freshness and good savoriness, an element that is also felt in the finish, endowed with excellent persistence. A bottle with which the De Puppi winery delivers us the right label to pair with appetizers and fish first courses, as well as with white meat recipes cooked with delicate preparations.
