Primitivo Rosato 'Aka' Produttori di Manduria 2022

Rosato "Aka" from Produttori di Manduria is made from pure Primitivo vinified in rosé. This is a classic wine of the Apulian tradition, which has always been oriented to the production of rosé wines with good structure and aromatic intensity, which go well with many dishes of the local cuisine. The nose expresses fragrant fruity aromas of small red berries and apple. The sip is rich and satisfying, with ripe and harmonious fruit, well balanced by a finish of good freshness.

The "Aka" rosé is a wine that fits right in among the labels of the Produttori di Manduria, which best represent the winemaking customs of the territory. The winery is a vibrant production reality composed of more than 400 members, managing 900 hectares of vineyards, more than half of which are planted with Primitivo. The age of the vines is 20-40 years and the most common training system in the older vineyards is the traditional alberello system, while in the younger plantings espalier is often used. The presence of so many plots makes it possible each year to choose the best grapes and always produce quality wines. The grapes for the rosé come from the Manduria area and the vines are grown at an altitude between 60 and 120 meters above sea level, on medium-textured soils of limestone-tufa matrix. Harvesting takes place towards the end of August, and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel with 12 hours' contact with the skins. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for about three months before bottling.

The "Aka" wine from the Produttori di Manduria winery is a classic Apulian rosé with a gastronomic vocation, characterized by good body and a pleasant richness of flavor, which well expresses the characters of a generous grape variety such as Primitivo. In the glass it has a luminous coral pink color. The nose is intense, with fragrant aromas of wild strawberries, raspberry, small berries and red apple. On the palate it has a good structure, is warm and harmonious, with soft and persuasive fruit, well balanced by freshness. The finish is of good persistence.
