The Cà Maiol winery is located among the charming and pleasant settings of the countryside surrounding Lake Garda and is an authoritative representative of its oenological territory, whose protagonist is a vine variety that stands out from the other productions: the Trebbiano di Lugana, locally called "Turbiana." The history of this production reality was born in 1967, when Walter Contato from Milan embarked on an adventure of foresight and passion for new challenges, starting to make wine from this precious and elegant white in San Martino della Battaglia, one of the last municipalities in the Lombard province of Brescia, just before the border with the Veneto region, indissolubly linking Cà Maiol to Turbiana of Lake Garda.

Cà Maiol's Lugana therefore finds on the southern shore of Lake Garda a natural territory of choice, thanks to the mild climate and clay soils, thus producing an easily identifiable wine with a golden color and a delicate but at the same time decisive and refreshing taste. The origins of the characteristics of this oenological expression are to be recognized in its territory of belonging: from the hills of morainic nature, created by the last glaciations, the vine plants draw the nutrients necessary for their growth, also thanks to the refraction effect of light that plays the water of the lake, subjecting the vineyards to a more intense luminosity, improving the ripening of the bunches.

Cà Maiol is currently set inside a building dating back to 1710, among vineyards and ancient farmsteads, and is the nerve center of the reality, hiding underneath is the winery where the expressions of the territorial and identity Lugana are vinified and refined. Here the winery processes are entirely directed towards innovation and renewal, with the ultimate goal of constantly improving its production of excellence: the grapes from the 130 hectares of estate vineyards are subjected to technologically advanced processing, thus making it possible to obtain labels with strong territorial characters but still capable of conquering international palates.
