Tokinoka company is a Japanese distillery to be discovered, whose reputation is growing from year to year, close to becoming one of the most successful in the world. The meaning of the Japanese word "Tokinoka" means "the scent of time": an image that perfectly reflects its history and its crafts. On the one hand, there is the story, in whose horizon the distillery has a great past: in fact, Tokinoka belongs the company Eigashima, a company in the world of spirits from the seventeenth century, going back to 1679 and remaining one of the oldest landmarks in the history of Japanese sake production. On the other hand, there is the special aroma of Tokinoka whiskies: aromas of flowers, fruits and honey that involve from the first meeting even the novices of whisky. The distillery is located in the city of Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture. The beginnings of the White Oak distillery have seen a whisky production reserved to the Japanese market. In 1984 the production has increased, crossing the borders of its own country. Looking at the varied Tokinoka collection blended, single malt and grain whiskies can be denoted, having been all created according to the ancient tradition of the Highlands. The same climate and the same environmental conditions can be found surrounding the formation of the character of the Scottish whiskies, but assuming a delicate and balanced tone that is all new, very precise, the Japanese one.
