The description of the Sommelier
Magnificentia Saten is one of the top products of the Uberti family, a true example of recoltant-manipulant (as they would be defined in the Champagne region) historically linked to the Franciacorta winegrowing and in particular to the champenoise method. Perfectly framed in the Saten style, with an addition of less sugar than in other categories and coming only from white grapes, Magnificentia comes from the rows of Salem, a true Grand Cru of the Franciacorta area with favorable exposures and a well drained stony land. In this zone Uberti apply cultivation schemes at a low environmental impact, combining their respective operational capabilities gained generation after generation: the parents Agostino and Eleonora, heirs to a dynasty of wine growers in Franciacorta operating since 1793, and their daughter Silvia, professionally grown up at the court of Jacques Selosse, a true spiritual master of Champagne. Fermented in oak barrels and matured for 36 months on its lees, Magnificentia Saten is a sample of finesse and softness, able to provide great drinkability and pleasantness.
