Castello Monaci's ‘Piluna’ is a monovarietal Primitivo del Salento that owes its name to the ancient tuffaceous containers in which oil and wine were stored. It is a ruby-purple red wine characterised by softness and intensity, aromas of red fruit, vanilla and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis.
