Anne and Jean-François Ganevat have become an iconic and sought-after name among wine enthusiasts worldwide, establishing themselves as a reference point among artisanal wineries in the Jura region. Brother and sister Jean-François and Anne Ganevat took over the reins of the family winery located in the municipality of Rotalier in the southern part of the Jura in 1998. In addition to the actual production of the Domaine, Anne and Jean-François, representing the fourteenth generation of winemakers in the family, vinify grapes purchased from trusted local growers, thus offering a wide range of labels, all characterized by a stylistic refinement. In general, the philosophy adopted by the Ganevat siblings is to offer single-plot wines, highlighting the complex heterogeneity of the Jura region. This approach stems from Jean-François' long apprenticeship in Burgundy, during which he developed a true obsession with the intricate concept of terroir.

Embracing a truly sustainable agronomic vision based on the principles of certified organic and biodynamic agriculture, Anne and Jean-François Ganevat take care of 13 hectares of vineyards, working with the traditional Jura grape varieties: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Pinot Noir, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Enfariné. Similarly, the winemaking approach is highly authentic, based on rigorously spontaneous fermentations in wooden vats and prolonged aging in truncated wooden vats and oak barrels, sometimes topped up to favor the development of flor yeasts, following the oxidative sous voile style, and other times always topped up, in accordance with the ouille style. Regardless of the type of winemaking adopted, the use of additives, including sulfites, is strictly prohibited by the Ganevat siblings.

The rich selection from Domaine Anne et Jean-François Ganevat embraces both the traditional and modern styles of wines that have made Jura famous worldwide. Among the former are Vin de Paille, Vin Jaune, and all sous voile wines, while among the modern styles are the labels of the ouille type, of which the Ganevat winery has emerged as one of the foremost proponents.
