The Pouilly Fuissé "Ame Forest" by Eric Forest is a Chardonnay, a mix of two different terroirs with vineyards from 1963, planted by Eric’s grandfather. Product of an artisanal vinification, is a wine that expresses an excellent balance between density and finesse, despite at first glance the nose may seem closed, after a few minutes releases intense rocky and minarial notes, notes of almond and aroma of apple blossom

Within the area of Mâconnais, in southern Burgundy, the Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Ame Forest’ by vigneron Eric Forest is born, a complex white wine representative of the style of the area. “Ame” is an acronym derived from the initials of the names of Eric, his father Michel, and his grandfather André. It is a blend of the 4 freshest plots due to their exposure to the north and east: “La Côte”, “Tilliers”, “Les Bois Rosier”, and “Carmentrants”. The first gives power and structure, the second and third provide finesse and elegance, while the fourth offers opulence and depth.

Eric Forest Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Ame Forest’ is a 100% Chardonnay from vineyards planted in 1963 by Eric's grandfather. The soils are partly made up of marl (La Côte) and partly of clayey limestone (Tilliers and Les Bois Rosier). After the harvest, carried out by hand, the grapes are gently pressed, with the subsequent alcoholic fermentation conducted exclusivelyby the yeasts present on the berries and in the cellar environment. Once the fermentation process is completed, the mass ages for a period between 12 and 18 months in oak barrels, followed by bottling by gravity and further resting in glass.

The Burgundy label ‘Ame Forest’ Eric Forest Pouilly-Fuissé has an intense straw yellow color. The nose offers rocky and mineral hints, accompanied by notes of almond, apple blossoms, and white peach, as well as a faint hint of sweet spices. Soft, dense and satisfying on the palate, where the bright freshness and the persistent savory trail give agility to the tasting development. A Chardonnay from Mâconnais that pairs well with bold and elaborate flavors.
