Roederer is one of the historic and most prestigious Champagne houses, a name known and respected worldwide for labels of excellent value, including the famous Cristal, a true timeless star, a paradigm of luxury, quality and wealth. It was founded in Reims by Louis Roederer in 1776, the same year the United States of America were born. Throughout the centuries this maison has always stood for inimitable expressions, facing even the dark periods of the world wars. After more than two centuries and a half of history, Roederer Champagnes have remained a symbol of excellence, and the maison, still led by the founder's direct descendants, proudly stands out as one of the last remaining great independent family-run houses.

The vineyards owned by the Roedere family cover 240 hectares in the Vallée de la Marne and include exclusively Grands and Premiers Crus, with a total of 410 plots. With the consciousness that great labels can only come from the earth and from a scrupulous care of the vineyards, the maison is increasingly in line with the principles of biodynamic agriculture, deepening the study of biodiversity and preserving the originality of each plot. Very balanced blends in the cellar and long resting and maturation times are the other two ingredients on which the excellence of Roederer Champagnes is based. The current chef de cave Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon has made a masterful contribution in recent years to maximizing the enormous potential available, resulting in vintage labels destined to make history and to be imitated for decades to come.

The Maison Louis Roederer is also universally known for having created, along with other prestigious cuvées, the legendary Cristal, a wine in a transparent, flat-bottomed glass bottle that contains, year after year, a reissue of the cuvée created especially for Tsar Alexander II in 1876. Since then, this Roderer Champagne has been a symbol of luxury and elegance, placing it at the top of the world's oenology.
