Bérèche et Fils is a family-run Maison that produces artisanal Champagnes of excellent quality. It is a prestigious brand, much loved by the most discerning connoisseurs, who find in its wines a respect for place and ancient savoir-faire. It was founded in Ludes in 1847 and has been able to preserve a strong link with the vineyard, as the starting point and indispensable value of the entire production process. Far removed from the standardisation logic of the large Maisons, which offer labels of good workmanship but which risk being somewhat anonymous, Bérèche et Fils produces Champagnes endowed with a distinct individual personality, which bring the pure essence of terroir into the glass.

All attention and research is geared towards guaranteeing the highest quality and trying to reflect the character of the individual vineyards in the wines as best as possible, which are managed with almost maniacal care and full respect for nature. The soils are ploughed so as to make them soft and aerated and the use of herbicides, insecticides and pesticides against mould has been completely banned between the rows. Fertilisation is limited to the use of organic fertilisers and in the vineyard, efforts are made to favour the biodiversity of flora and fauna, to make the ecosystem richer and more balanced. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand, from winter pruning to the grape harvest, so that the utmost attention is paid to each individual plant.

The application of these virtuous practices has led the Maison to receive Haute Valeur Environnementale niveau 3 certification. Today, the estate covers a total area of some ten hectares, divided into many small plots, located in various parts of Champagne. In the Montagne de Reims area in Ormes, Ludes Premier Cru, Trépail Premier Cru, Mailly Grand Cru, Rilly-la-Montagne Premier Cru and Ambonnay Grand Cru. In the Vallée de la Marne in Aÿ Grand Cru and Mareuil-le-Port; finally in the Côte des Blancs in the Cramant Grand Cru. A mosaic of vineyards of an extraordinary level of quality, enabling the production of cuvées of refined elegance and aromatic intensity.
