For Callmewine, sustainability is not just a goal, but a daily commitment.
Every decision moves in the same direction: continuing to reduce CO₂ emissions. Many initiatives are already underway, while others will arrive in the coming months, as part of a path aimed at increasingly reducing our environmental impact.
Step by step, we continue to do our part for a more sustainable tomorrow.
Eco-sustainable packaging
Our iconic red packaging has given way to a neutral, oat-coloured packaging made with over 75% recycled paper from responsibly managed forests. We have eliminated bleaching processes, reduced paper quantity by 10%, and lightened package weight. All this has made it possible to reduce CO₂ emissions by 50%, contributing to a lower environmental impact during transport.
Towards electric distribution
We rely on couriers who share our values, selecting partners certified GOLD by ECOVADIS or who have ambitious sustainability projects and look to the future. Furthermore, we have joined the 'Last Mile' pilot project, delivering the last mile in the main urban centres with electric vehicles: over 20% of deliveries in these areas already take place with electric vehicles.
Green energy
Callmewine exclusively uses green energy from renewable sources in its office and warehouse.
A choice that contributes to further reducing CO₂ emissions.
Selection of producers
We have always preferred producers who are attentive to the sustainability of their farming practices: it is no coincidence that our selection of organic and artisanal wines is among the broadest on the market. These winegrowers practise natural farming, avoiding chemicals and invasive treatments, safeguarding soil biodiversity. Many do not irrigate, saving water, and forgo artificial yeasts or invasive processes in the cellar, creating authentic wines that respect nature.
Purchase of carbon credits
Offsetting CO₂ emissions is a long process. That is why we support high environmental and social impact projects, covering all emissions linked to our activity, from the vineyards to the glass. By purchasing carbon credits we contribute to safeguarding water resources and territories, doing our part for a more sustainable future.
