The Rosso di Montalcino from Tenuta di Collosorbo is a soft, fresh, and generous wine, aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. On the nose, it reveals a clear and floral personality, enriched by typical notes of plums and cherries. The palate is intense, spicy, and harmonious, with velvety tannins on the finish.

The Rosso di Montalcino signed by Tenuta di Collosorbo announces itself from the very first moments as a wine of good structure and persistence, which lives in the glass thanks to a vibrant freshness, a characteristic that allows it a marked versatility at the table. Pure Sangiovese, the nose is exalted by varietal fruity aromas, where red fruit plays the leading role. A label with which the winery, a leading production reality in the ilcinese terroir, gains important recognition both in Italian sector guides and abroad, where critic James Suckling proves to be more than convinced of its potential.

This Rosso di Montalcino originates from pure Sangiovese grapes, the flagship grape of Tuscan viticulture. The vines of this variety grow with the double guyot training system. After manual harvesting, Tenuta di Collesorbo proceeds with a soft destemming; the must obtained ferments spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, macerating with frequent pump-overs. The subsequent aging takes place for a period of 12 months, both in large Slavonian oak barrels and in barriques (for 5-10% of the total mass of the wine).

The Rosso di Montalcino from Collosorbo presents itself to the eye with a typically ruby color, endowed with a beautiful concentration. Linear and well-defined is the range of aromas that envelop the nostrils, characterized by aromas mainly fruity and floral. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping thanks to a tannic structure finely integrated into the general structure, with a sip characterized by a refreshing and spicy taste. Elegant and versatile, it is a label that is appreciated both in more informal occasions and in important evenings. To be paired with the great Tuscan meats of the regional culinary tradition.
