The Vermentino from Gallura 'Nozzinnà' is a sweet version of this grape variety, typical of the island, rooted in a dune area that has resisted phylloxera. Vinified in steel, it primarily opens up to gratifying floral and fruity notes that reveal a soft and savory sip with a typically bitter finish.

The Vermentino di Gallura Amabile “Nozzinnà” Li Duni – Badesi represents the typical white wine of Gallura, the region that extends in the northern part of Sardinia. Vermentino is a variety that loves the Mediterranean climate, sunny and windy; it is historically present in Corsica, Sardinia, the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, along the Tuscan coast, and in southern France under the name Rolle. It is a wine with intense aromas, ranging from floral to fruity, highlighting the savory and mineral characteristics of the terroir. It is a splendid white to pair with a full meal featuring seafood.

The “Nozzina” is produced in the Li Duni area, in the municipality of Badesi. This is a hilly area that gently slopes down towards the coastline, with a series of sand dunes overlooking the sea of the Gulf of Asinara. The vines are trained in alberello and Guyot. The sandy soils, created from the weathering of ancient granite rocks, have allowed for the continued planting of ungrafted vines, without the need to use rootstocks. The typically Mediterranean climate, moderated by the proximity of the sea, allows for good thermal excursions and a gradual and perfect ripening of the grapes. The harvest is slightly postponed to achieve maximum aromatic richness. After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in steel and the wine then rests in steel for a few months before being released for sale.

The Vermentino Amabile “Nozzinnà” is a wine with a typically marine and sunny character, a true reflection of the magnificent terroir of Sardinia. The wine has a bright straw-yellow color with slight greenish hues. On the nose, it expresses delicate floral aromas, hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, fruity aromas, and honeyed softness. On the palate, it has a savory and mineral entry, a juicy mid-palate, and a nice length towards a harmonious finish with balanced freshness.
