The "Barlan" from the Piedmont winery Torraccia del Piantavigna is a surprising and harmonious rosé wine that recalls Provence. The name of the label is inspired by a traditional allegorical figure from the Ghemme carnival. Only manually harvested Nebbiolo grapes are used for its production, aged for 5 months in steel. The color is bright antique pink, and the aromas released recall crunchy red berry fruit and rose petals. The taste is fresh, mineral, savory, balanced, and with a clean and smooth finish.

The “Barlan” from the Torraccia del Piantavigna winery is a rosé from Alto Piemonte that originates in the Ghemme area, famous for its ancient tradition of great wines. In these lands, Nebbiolo has been at home for centuries and thanks to the favorable pedoclimatic conditions, it expresses itself with a particularly refined, fresh, and elegant character, making it very suitable for vinification as a rosé. The result is a label of great charm, with floral, citrus, and delicately fruity tones, particularly suitable for pairing with seafood appetizers, shellfish, shrimp risotto, tomato pasta, or delicate white meats.

The rosé “Barlan” from Torraccia del Piantavigna is born in the estate vineyards, located in the hilly area north of Novara, at an altitude between 200 and 400 meters, on beautiful sunny and ventilated exposures. The cool climate, influenced by the nearby presence of the Alpine mountain range and the ancient alluvial soils, rich in pebbles and gravel, creates an ideal habitat for Nebbiolo. The grapes come from the Maretta locality, near Ghemme, and are harvested at the beginning of October, taking care to preserve the right freshness, essential for making a good rosé. After the soft pressing of the bunches, with a brief contact with the skins, the must is vinified in white in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures for 5 months in steel.

The wine “Barlàn” from Torraccia del Piantavigna is a rosé made in a Provençal style, with a light color and a slender profile. The characteristics of natural freshness of Nebbiolo and its noble fruity aromas lend themselves very well to an interpretation as a rosé with a low-extraction vinification. It presents in the glass with a seductive pale pink color with bright coppery reflections. Fine and delicate, it offers the nose floral scents, fragrant aromas of citrus, raspberry, red currant, and wild strawberries. The sip stands out for its refined elegance, with a soft and crunchy fruit, well balanced by a finish characterized by sapidity and pleasant freshness.
