The Rosso 'Campo da Calcio' from the Masiero winery is a young, simple version of pure Merlot. It is a convivial, medium-structured wine, characterised by crisp fruit that gives immediate pleasure. The name indicates the vineyard where the grapes come from, which is located right next to the Sant'Urbano sports ground, but it also emphasises its expressive vivacity, the fragrant exuberance of primary aromas, and the dynamic fluidity of one sip, which immediately recalls another. It is a perfect bottle to enjoy in informal moments among friends.

Campo da Calcio' is a Rosso produced by Franco Masiero at the Trissino estate in Vicenza. It is a reality born out of love for their land and the desire to start producing artisanal, healthy and genuine wine. After more than twenty years, the winery has kept its original characteristics intact and today represents a point of reference for enthusiasts in search of wines with a territorial character, made in a simple and environmentally friendly manner. The vineyards are managed with extreme care, following the principles of biodynamic agriculture, without any use of chemical preparations. Harvesting is carried out by hand and the Merlot grapes are fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in cement vats with a short maceration on the skins, in order to achieve a gentle extraction. Before bottling, the wine is refined for a few months in cement.

Masiero's 'Campo da Calcio' wine is a fragrant red that directly expresses the varietal character of ripe, rich Merlot grapes. It is a version that enhances the purity of a work that respects the raw material, made with the sole objective of highlighting its quality. To the eye, it has a light and luminous ruby colour with garnet red reflections. The olfactory profile is delicate, with floral scents of iris and violets, aromas of raspberries, currants, wild strawberries and nuances of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis. Medium-bodied, it offers an agile and light sip, with barely noticeable tannins on a background of juicy red-fleshed fruit. The finish is fresh, lively and exuberant. A perfect wine to accompany a platter of savoury cold cuts.
