CHAMPAGNE BRUT NATURE 'LES MURGIERS' FRANCIS BOULARD 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Brut Nature of Pinot Meunier "Les Murgiers" by Maison Francis Boulard is a Blanc de Noirs made from pure Pinot Meunier grapes, representing with extreme fidelity and interpretative clarity the terroir of origin. The 24 months of ageing on the lees allow it to retain the dense and rich fruit typical of Pinot Meunier, enriching the bouquet with tertiary evolution aromas of great finesse and elegance. It is a Campagne of good intensity and complexity, with a fresh profile, particularly suitable to be enjoyed throughout a meal.

The Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature of Pinot Meunier "Les Murgiers" Magnum is a Champagne made by a small family Maison, which owns 3 hectares of vines in the areas of Cormicy and Saint-Thierry in the hilly area of the Petite Montagne de Reims. The Boulard family has been cultivating vines in Champagne for six generations and the Maison has preserved an artisanal spirit, without forgetting the precious heritage of ancient savoir-faire. In the countryside, the principles of organic and biodynamic farming are followed, so as to preserve a harmony between the vineyard and its environment. A choice that guarantees a productive balance to the vines, with healthy and aromatically intense grapes, resulting in wines capable of interpreting the terroir in a more genuine and authentic way and of transferring its savoury and mineral notes into the glass.

The Brut Nature of Pinot Meunier "Les Murgiers" by Maison Francis Boulard is a Champagne produced with grapes from vines that are about 30 years old and are cultivated on limestone-clay soils. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and the base wines rest for several months in oak barrels before the final blend is created. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Champenoise Method and with a 24-month soak in lattes. The Champagne has a luminous and brilliant straw yellow colour, crossed by a fine and continuous perlage. The bouquet is elegant, with scents of dried flowers, aromas of candied citrus peel, yellow fruit, peach, hints of toast, softness of caramel and hints of dried fruit. The palate is broad, long and creamy, with complex aromas and a finish characterised by mineral notes and lively freshness.
