CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ BRUT GRAND CRU PIERRE MONCUIT DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Rosé Grand Cru of the Pierre Moncuit winery is a Brut with a feminine personality and elegance that surprises for the juiciness of the ripe fruit and the sapidity in the final sip. Son of a family reality of Recoltans Manipulants that has always worked with the desire to keep alive the traditional production philosophy, implementing it with the innovation that the present wine is able to give. Today it is the sons of the founder Pierre, Nicole and Yves who have taken over the technical direction of the house, supported by his niece Valérie.

Pierre Moncuit’s Rosé is the result of the harmonious blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir from the vineyards located respectively in Mesnil sur Oger and Ambonnay, on soils rich in chalk underground that will release great minerality in the final glass. The harvest is strictly done by hand in order to select the best grapes already in the vineyard and discard those not completely healthy. Once in the cellar the grapes perform alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel containers and the second fermentation in the bottle according to the principles of the Classic Method. The rest on the lees will be prolonged for at least 36 months in order to extract all the crispest and most fragrant potential of the juice.

The Rosé Grand Cru of the Pierre Moncuit winery is a Champagne that has a brilliant salmon pink color, with a fine and elegant perlage. The aroma is fresh and mineral with fresh notes of red berries and undergrowth, supported by fragrant nuances of bread crust and small pastry.
