GIN PLYMOUTH BLACK FRIARS DISTILLERY DESCRIPTION

The Plymouth Gin Black Friars provenie from the city of Plymouth, in southwest England. From 1793 is distilled from a unique blend of seven plants, freshwater Dartmoor and pure ethanol at the historic Black Friars, the oldest distillery in England. Widely appreciated by critics and the public, has numerous awards including the double gold medal at the 2006 Best In Show (Gin) and Best In Show (Overall White Spirit), the double gold medal at the 2001 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and again the silver medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. Plymouth gin has a great depth of flavor with earthy notes and an intense tone on the juniper and lemon wonderfully fresh. It has a sweet taste with extraordinary concentration and complexity of taste and smell. None of botanicals dominates the overall flavor. The finish is long and dry. The color is crystal clear and the nose is rich, with a fresh juniper followed by notes of coriander and cardamom. The taste is very smooth, creamy and full-bodied, with a slight sweetness. The closure is fine and elegant with a lingering finish, long, fresh and aromatic. Plymouth is ideal served with tonic with ice and a splash of lemon or lime.
