Ribolla Gialla Masut da Rive 2024

This Ribolla Gialla is a classic of Friuli white wine. Ribolla is indeed one of the most representative native grape varieties within the regional ampelographic landscape, always able to tell the terroir of Friuli with different nuances depending on the cultivation area. In this expression made by the Masut de Rive winery, a wide and varied olfactory profile is noticeable, leading to a linear and direct sip, from which a slight saltiness also emerges, an element that makes the drink – already smooth in itself – even more satisfying. A label that finds maximum enjoyment at the table with smoked fish appetizers and sushi.

The Ribolla Gialla is produced by the Masut da Rive winery starting from vineyards located near Mariano del Friuli, close to the Isonzo river. Here, the Ribolla vines grow, rooting in a subsoil rich in pebbles and red clay. The clusters, carefully harvested during the harvest phase, are immediately brought to the facilities designated for winemaking to be destemmed. The best grapes are therefore proceed to pressing and the must obtained from this operation ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then remains for a few months always in steel in contact with the yeasts, until the bottling and marketing operations begin.

This Ribolla Gialla from Masut da Rive strikes the eye for its clear and crystalline color that moves on the shades of gold. Refreshing is the combination of notes that envelop the nose, where white and yellow fleshy fruits intersect with more floral notes and hints of aromatic herbs.
