ll Selvarossa Riserva Due Palme is a red wine from Salento based on Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera that ages in barrique for 9 months. The olfactory panorama is tinged with dark tones of black spices, black fruits in jam, and cocoa, wrapped in notes of Mediterranean scrub and vanilla. The tasting is broad and powerful, warm and deep, supported by intense and sweet tannins that accompany a finish of very long persistence

"Selvarossa" is one of the great classics of the Due Palme winery, with which the estate manages to rise to the top of the main industry guides every year. It is a Salice Salentino Riserva with a strong and decisive character, made from dried grapes of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera, rich in aromas and concentrated flavors. A red wine from Puglia that captivates the palate from the first sips with its roundness and softness, and which, once tasted, will confirm the value of this winery, which now more than ever looks to the future with optimism and a desire to challenge itself. The Salento winery has been following the path of sustainability for years, taking care of the environment and respecting the ecosystem. Thus, with commitment, passion, and sacrifice, it has fully integrated itself among the most representative producers of the entire southern region. Selvarossa is an example because, in addition to being a bottle that encapsulates the entire company creed, it represents that magnificent wild land kissed by the sea and the scorching sun of the south.

The Salice Salentino Riserva combines in a blend Negroamaro with 15% Malvasia Nera. Both grape varieties grow in vineyards with an average age of around 50 years, trained as bush vines with very low yields, never exceeding 50 quintals per hectare. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, are harvested dried, and once in the winery, they macerate for 14 days, fermenting alcoholically in rotating fermenters of 500 hectoliters. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, where the wine then ages for 9 months before being bottled.

The Due Palme "Selvarossa" is a Salice Salentino Riserva that manifests in the glass with an intense ruby red color. The nose is a continuous march of different aromas, where from fruit in spirit it moves to sweet spices, also crossing more Mediterranean notes. On the palate, it is very energetic and warm, with a well-orchestrated sip thanks to integrated tannins and an acidic backbone that is felt. The sip is therefore balanced, where velvet against strength and freshness against softness play a tug of war without winners.iron without winners. The Due Palme winery reaches with this "Selvarossa" one of the qualitative peaks of the entire production, as evidenced by the scores that, year after year, confirm this red wine among the most important in all of Puglia.
