The Vosne Romanée from Domaine Faiveley needs no introduction. It is a Pinot Noir that originates from one of the mythical places in the wine world, right in the heart of Burgundy. An elegant, refined red that, thanks to long aging in wood, acquires a great aromatic complexity. The bouquet recalls aromas of small red fruits, enriched by light spicy and woody notes. The Vosne Romanée is produced from the precious Pinot Noir grapes grown in Vosne Romanée, a small but famous Appellation of Burgundy, located in the heart of the renowned Côte de Nuits, near Vougeot. The particularly suited soils and the perfect microclimate for ripening a delicate and demanding grape variety like Pinot Noir have created over the centuries the charm of these few hectares of vineyard. The grape harvest is strictly manual, selecting only the best bunches. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in French oak barriques,mostly new, for a period of about 16 months, before being bottled.
