The Bas Armagnac ‘Signature’ VS by Chateau de Laubade is a silky, harmonic and round spirit, aged in oak barrels from Gascony. It smells like ripe fruits, honey and vanilla and the taste is warm and pleasant, with fresh and fruity hints

The Bas Armagnac “Signature” VS is a harmonious and smooth distillate, with pleasant fruity notes and light woody nuances. A label that confirms the high quality of a historic name in the Appellation like Chateau de Laubade, which has been producing a wide range of Armagnac since the mid-1800s. In particular, the “Signature” VS is a distillate that stands out for its great expressive finesse and refined aromatic persistence, perfect to savor at the end of a meal to accompany pleasant moments of conviviality among friends.

The “Signature” VS is a Bas Armagnac that originates from the ancient estate of Chateau de Laubade, managed since 1974 by the Lesgourges family in the wake of the centuries-old tradition of one of the most famous regions in the world for the production of high-quality distillates. The oceanic climate and the prized siliceous-clay soils are perfect for the cultivation of white grape varieties intended for the production of base wines to be then distilled. The Bas Armagnac “Signature” VS is produced with the historic grape varieties of territory: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, integrated with smaller percentages of Colombard and Baco. The distillation operations take place using an old still and the "Signature" VS ages for several years in Gascogna oak barriques before being bottled.

The Bas Armagnac "Signature" VS is the result of the pursuit of quality and excellence, which has always characterized the corporate philosophy of Chateau de Laubade. Terroir, tradition, and savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation are the key words that today allow us to taste distillates of elegant finesse. In the glass, it has a golden, bright, and intense color. The olfactory profile is rich and complex, with refined aromas of ripe fruit, enhanced by notes of honey, vanilla, and hints of noble woods. The sip is delicate and enveloping, not aggressive at all, and unfolds the complex aromatic palette with soft sensations, which harmoniously dissolve into a long and persistent finish.
