The Sauvignon “Bric Amel” is a label that accompanies the historic production of great reds from the famous winery of Marchesi di Barolo. In addition to owning numerous plots in the areas of the Barolo and Barbaresco denominations, the winery also manages land in Monferrato and Roero. It was precisely from the desire to move away from the single-varietal Nebbiolo that the idea of producing a white in the lands of Langhe was born. The name of the wine “Bric”, in Piedmontese dialect, indicates the highest part of the hills, with predominantly calcareous and sandy soils, perfect for the cultivation of berry varieties.white, which on these soils expresses itself with extreme finesse and elegance. Each single variety is harvested separately at the peak of ripeness and, always separately, vinified in steel. The wines then rest in steel on their own yeasts for several months, until the moment when it is decided to proceed with the final blending and subsequent bottling.
