Dolcetto d'Alba "Bossèt" is a red wine of great freshness, fragrance and versatility, an ideal companion for the everyday table. The sip runs clear, clean and dry, with a pleasant tannin and a very smooth drink
The Dolcetto d’Alba Marchesi di Barolo “Bosset” is a wine with a fresh and crisp profile, where fruity aromas draw the most attentive noses to the notes expressed by the marasca cherry. Dry and well-balanced on the palate, it is perfect for accompanying the daily meals of those who never give up a quality wine at the table. A bottle that embodies a type of drinkable Piedmontese red, to be uncorked immediately to avoid losing its youthful and extroverted character.
This Dolcetto d’Alba “Bosset” originates from a true cru, particularly suited for the cultivation of Dolcetto grapes. We find ourselves in parcels with a good slope, characterized by a calcareous subsoil, where silt and quartz abound, alternated with layers of gray sandstone. The vines are trained on trellises with a guyot pruning. The pressing of the grapes in the winery is gentle, and the must obtained from this operation ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a 5-day maceration on the skins. The production process ends with a refinement in vitrified steel tanks for a few months.
The Marchesi di Barolo “Bosset” is a Dolcetto d’Alba that moves in the glass with a shimmering color, halfway between ruby and violet. The nose is typically winey, with aromas of small red berries enriched by a slight hint of aromatic herbs on the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, characterized by a dry and drinkable sip, from which a pleasant savory taste emerges at the end of the tasting. A red that indeed belongs to the Piedmontese winemaking tradition, but with this label is interpreted by the Marchesi di Barolo winery with a particular depth, derived from its area of origin.
