The Etna Bianco "Contrada Blandano" is the fruit alberello vines grown on volcanic soils and of careful vinification with aging for 10 months in oak barrels. The profile is warm, soft and smooth, crossed by a beautiful fresh and minerality with nuances of honey, yellow fruit and aromatic herbs.

“Contrada Blandano” by Terra Costantino is a white wine made from indigenous grape varieties that tells the elegance of Etna. From the power of the Volcano comes a fascinating finesse, rich in personality. Its fine class, expressive delicacy, and that intense imprint of the volcano make it a wine of great quality. For a long time, in the Etna land, it has been known that the credit goes to “Iddu”, that Volcano to which the people of Catania are familiarly linked and which is capable not only of protecting their vineyards from the north wind but also of elevating them to overlook the sea. The Terra Costantino winery, located along the South-East slope of Etna in the territory of Viagrande, has translated its great love for this land into an organic processing method.

The Etna Bianco “Contrada Blandano” takes its name from the area where the winery is located. The grapes used belong to two indigenous white grape varieties: Carricante, present at 75%, and Catarratto, in a smaller percentage of 25%. The vineyards from which these grapes come are composed of vines with an average age of 30 years, cultivated according to the bush training system, made possible by the historical absence of the harmful Phylloxera in these volcanic lands. This category indeed belongs to the sandy textured soils of Contrada Blandano. The yield of grapes per plant is deliberately low, aimed at enhancing quality at the expense of quantity. Following the harvest and soft pressing, the must undergoes a brief maceration that further intensifies the character of this strongly identity-driven white wine. Fermentation takes place in steel containers, while aging involves a minimum of 10 months in large oak barrels and another 10 months in bottle.are composed of vines with an average age of 30 years, cultivated according to the bush training system, made possible by the historical absence of the harmful Phylloxera in these volcanic lands.
