The “Roccanivo” by Berta is a delicate and enveloping Grappa di Barbera, endowed with a beautiful personality. It couldn’t be otherwise, given that Berta has established itself in the market for over sixty years with high-quality products, linked to ancient distilling traditions. A vintage label that undergoes a long aging period at the end of the production process, thus presenting itself with a marked complexity and aromatic intensity during tasting, where nose and palate align on sensations developed coherently. Perfect when, after dinner, one wants to indulge in a refined sip, where history and tradition are tinged with contemporaneity.
The Grappa di Barbera “Roccanivo” Berta is born from the careful selection, made among the best local producers, of Barbera pomace, transported to the distillery in hermetically sealed plastic containers to preserve freshness as much as possible. The distillation process is carried out following the discontinuous method,discontinuous, using steam-powered copper stills. Once the processing is complete, the resulting Grappa is allowed to rest for a total of eight years in tonneau both of Allier and Tronçais, before being bottled and released for sale.
“Roccanivo” Berta has a color reminiscent of dense and concentrated amber. The nose moves over a generous and pleasant olfactory profile, where fruit, both dried and candied, alternates with hints that seem to recall nougat. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a velvety sip and the right degree of warmth; the taste reveals a flavor reminiscent of pastry. A Grappa with a highly artisanal profile, recommended for those who want to try an original distillate with ancestral charm!
