White Oak Distillery was founded in 1888 on the site of the Eigashima distillery, in the Japanese city of Akashi, near Kobe, overlooking the sea of Osaka Bay, along the southern coast of the country. It was the first Japanese company to obtain a license for the distillation of spirits in 1919, and is therefore traditionally considered the first company to have started producing whisky in the land of the rising sun. Production, historically linked to the national beverage represented by Sake, remained for a long time of modest size and reserved exclusively for distribution in the local market: the turning point towards greater openness occurred in 1984, when a new distillery expressly dedicated to whisky was founded. “Whisky Meisei Akashi Glass Pack” consists of a bottle of the elegant distillate produced by White Oak Distillery and two ceramic glasses that recall the finesse of Japanese artisanal craftsmanship. The warm amber color, the soft vanilla notes and the hints of powdered sugar, the spicy oriental hints and the deep and smooth sip create an unmissable tasting opportunity for the
