Primitivo 'Ettamiano' Due Palme 2021
Perfect to give as a gift"Ettamiano" is a soft and intense Primitivo with evolved aromas of sweet spices, fruit in spirit, and dried fruit. The taste is complex and warm, muscular and concentrated, enveloped by a soft tannic texture and balanced by a comforting freshness. It finishes with a long and persistent almond note.
“Ettamiano” is a label in which the Primitivo is characterized by an austere and solemn character, where the aromas become intense and the taste is characterized by a concentrated sip. Thanks to the Due Palme winery, a productive reality that has become a reference point for the wines of Salento and for its winemakers, considering that it is a winery that can count on more than 1,000 contributing members. A reality that manages to combine quantity and quality like few others, as demonstrated by this Primitivo di Manduria DOC, a red wine symbol of the Apulian territory.
The Due Palme winery produces this “Ettamiano” starting from a red grape variety widely cultivated throughout Puglia, the Primitivo. The grapes grow lushly within vineyards whose average age is around 40 years, and the method by which the vines are trained is that of the alberello or trellis. Once harvested, after the harvest, the grapes macerate for about 2 weeks, fermenting in steel containers. The malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques, where the wine then rests for about 9 months before bottling.
“Ettamiano” Primitivo reveals itself visually with a garnet red hue, crossed by light orange reflections. The olfactory profile highlights rich and complex notes, which develop on a fruity and spicy weave. On the palate, it has excellent body, sumptuous, with a soft and concentrated sip, characterized by a pleasant freshness. A label with which the Due Palme winery presents a well-crafted red wine, concrete and unembellished, ideal for being enjoyed alongside red meat and game dishes.
