Federico Mencaroni's Verdicchio Riserva 'Isola' is a pleasant white wine from the Castelli di Jesi area, which was created to restore the immediacy of the fruit. Ageing on noble lees with periodic batonnage enhances its complexity. The nose releases notes of white fruit, wild flowers and a touch of marine iodine. The palate is fresh and savoury with a slight minerality that makes it ideal with intense fish dishes
