The Whisky Italian Malt 'Gold' from the Puni distillery is born among the mountains of the upper Val Venosta, specifically near the ancient village of Glorenza. It is the realization of a dream, to create a great all-Italian Whisky, starting from high-quality raw materials. It is a delicate and refined distillate, capable of expressing the traditional face of the great Scottish Highlands Whiskies. An original and unique Italian excellence, among the best expressions of Whisky produced outside the historical areas of the famous distillate.
The Italian Malt 'Gold' is a Whisky that is born within the walls of the Puni distillery. The raw material at the base of the Single Malt is a particularly curated selection of Italian barley malt. The distillation phase takes place using traditional Scottish Forthys stills, which ensure extraordinary finesse. To lower the degree of the distillate, pure and light water from alpine sources is used. The Whisky matures for a period of 5 years in American oak barrels, previously used to age Bourbon, which impart aromas of vanilla, light toasted sensations due to the internal smoking of the wood. The Whisky is bottled without cold filtration, in order to maintain the perfect integrity of the distillate. A slightly cloudy appearance is completely natural and simply disappears by shaking the bottle.
The 'Gold' from the South Tyrolean distillery Puni is a classic-looking Whisky Italian Malt with a fine and elegant profile, which plays its best cards on the side of delicate nuances and the refinement of the aromas, clear and essential. It is the ideal choice for those who love medium-aged, dry, and linear Whiskies. In the glass, it presents a light golden yellow with bright and shining reflections. On the nose, it offers a bouquet characterized by aromas of lime zest, white flowers, delicate vanilla notes, and soft oriental spices, hints of ripe white-fleshed fruit, peach, soft sensations of caramel, cotton candy, and tropical fruit. The mouthfeel is pleasantly agile, warm, and long, with a finish of good freshness and expressive persistence, returning to spicy and citrus notes.
