The Bott Frigyes estate represents an artisanal jewel of Slovakia that through its wines intends to be a spokesman for its land in the world. Indeed, by adopting sustainable agronomic operations and non-invasive oenological interventions, Bott Frigyes aims to produce expressions that reflect the terroir of origin, without compromising with the logic of the market. The winery is located in the municipality of Radvaň nad Dunajom, within the historical region of Muszla, on the banks of the Danube.

There are just under 10 hectares of vineyards managed by the Bott Frigyes winery, all located along the Garam river, on the hills of the Muszla area, at an altitude of approximately 250 metres above sea level. Here, on volcanic soils rich in clay, limestone and minerals, the estate raises the traditional varieties Furmint, Hárslevelű, Olaszrizling, Juhfark, Kékfrankos and Kadarka, as well as Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir according to biodynamic principles. Harvesting is carried out by hand and the oenological approach is also absolutely genuine, based on spontaneous fermentation and minimal additions of sulphites, also excluding the use of invasive filtration or clarification and with part of the vinification taking place whole cluster. Both amphorae and Hungarian oak barrels of different sizes are used as wine containers, and maturation involves long stays on the fine lees, during which the wines increase their complexity.

The interpretations of the Slovak winegrowing Bott Frigyes stand out for their engaging vivacity and purity, as well as their excellent mineral timbre that reflects the characteristics of the terroir. Regardless of whether they are white or red, Bott Frigyes wines are the ideal choice if you want to get a taste of the Muszla terroir and be transported to this historic wine-growing region located between the Garam River and the Danube.
