'160 Anni' Ippolito 1845 2022
The ‘160 Anni’ by Ippolito 1845 celebrates the history of the winery through a winemaking technique that gives great complexity to the Gaglioppo. The best bunches indeed dry on racks until the end of November. After fermentation, the wine ages for over a year in oak to achieve a soft and pleasant texture. On the nose, it is enticing, with hints of underbrush meeting dried violets, sultana raisins, and sweet spices. On the palate, it expresses great structure, the round and intriguing sip is very long. Excellent with spiced venison stew or blue cheeses.
