Chinati Vergano's Americano is a Vermouth that takes up the tradition of the Asti aperitif of the late 1800s, with a modern twist thanks to the use of a base of Grignolino from artisanal producers. Excellent balance of flavours thanks to the choice of different qualities of absinthe mixed with bitter aromas derived from citrus fruits such as orange and chinotto, and additional flowers of gentian, gentian and cardamom. Serve it neat, on the rocks or with an orange peel and a splash of seltzer to enhance the aromas.

The Americano Vermouth from the Piedmontese producer Chinati Vergano is a flavored wine with a intense and pleasantly bitter taste, exquisite on its own served cold or within a cocktail. It is a Red Bitter Vermouth made from a base of Grignolino wine infused with a series of botanicals and spices including wormwood, vanilla, and gentian. The history of Vermouth officially begins in 1786 in Turin with Antonio Benedetto Carpano, a famous distiller who chose this name by adapting the German term “wermut”, which refers to the greater wormwood, that is, the plant of wormwood, the main ingredient of this type of flavored wine. The Americano is instead a cocktail based on red Vermouth and bitter.

Chinati Vergano Americano Vermouth Rosso is made from a base of Grignolino wine sourced from local artisanal producers who adopt practices in line with organic farming. Throughout the entire winemaking process, no selected yeasts or enological aids and the mass is not subjected to any filtration. Once ready, the base is blended with other ingredients including alcohol, sugar, wormwood, orange peel, chinotto, gentian root, savory, vanilla, and numerous aromatic herbs, with about 10 days of infusion.

Bright cherry red is the color of the Americano Vermouth Rosso from Chinati Vergano, which on the nose expresses intoxicating notes of orange and chinotto, associated with a bitter aroma of wormwood. The taste, smooth and balanced, has a slight tannic structure and a pleasant aromatic and bitter finish. This Red Vermouth is perfect to enjoy on its own with two ice cubes and an orange peel, but it also lends itself exceptionally well to the world of mixology, mixed with Gin, wine, or Champagne.
