"San Michele" is a full-bodied and structured Barbera d'Asti that is produced with indigenous yeasts and without filtrations or clarifications. The scents of wild berries, the rustic touches, the elements of the undergrowth and the notes of spices enrich an intense, rich and complex sip, with great freshness.

Barbera d'Asti Superiore "San Michele" is one of the jewels of the entire production of Cascina San Michele. A great drinkability combines in the mouth with a freshness that is nothing short of interesting, making this bottle the ideal companion for the table. On the nose, however, one can perceive the fruity component, which alternates with the tertiary aromas derived from the time spent in wood. A label that proudly interprets the territory of the Asti area in Piemonte.

The "San Michele" is a Barbera d'Asti Superiore that comes from ancient vineyards located in the fraction that gives its name to the label itself. In the vineyard, human interventions are kept to a minimum, and no chemical substances are used. The healthy bunches, having reached full ripeness, are harvested with great care during the harvest and then transported immediately to the rooms designated for vinification at Cascina San Michele. The must ferments spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts in steel tanks for a period ranging from 25and 35 days. The subsequent aging takes place for 12 months in oak barrels with a capacity of 20 hectoliters, and then in steel. During the bottling operations, no filtration is carried out.

This Barbera d'Asti Superiore "San Michele" presents itself to the eye with a dark ruby red color, intense and almost impenetrable to the gaze. On the nose, various notes emerge that recall well-ripened fruit, enriched by slight spicy and toasted hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, with a enveloping sip, characterized by a freshness that is at times almost impetuous. A label created by Cascina San Michele that brings to the table a traditional wine of Piemonte viticulture, told with clarity and without any imperfections.
