"BB9" by Barley brewery from Sardinia is a special IGA realized by Nicola Perra, master brewery, adding sapa from Malvasia grapes and a sage mènage of american and new zealand hops. It exihibits an intense and fresh bouquet rich of ripe fruits, fresh grapes, passion fruits and citrus, driving to a dry, deeply fruity and fresh sip with peppery and spicy undertones

The “BB9” from Barley is another innovative IGA born from the creative and innovative mind of Nicola Perra, the master brewer at the brewery. The experiments of the Barley brewery are mostly aimed at bringing the world of beer closer to that of wine, at the meeting between malts, hops, and grape must. In particular, the “BB9” is made with the addition during boiling of sapa - concentrated flower must through evaporation - of Malvasia grapes, cultivated in the Sardinian territory, to which this beer is deeply connected by origin and taste.

The Sardinian brewery Barley is committed to offering high-end labels, easily interchangeable with wine and perfectly paired with the most diverse dishes. The secret of the “BB9” at the table? To play on a fresh, straight, and dry sip with savory accents in the finish that gently cleanse the palate from the greasiness and succulence of the richest and most indulgent dishes. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, it undergoes refermentation in the bottle thanks to the incessant action of the yeasts that allow for an excellent evolution of the liquid over time.

The “BB9” from the Sardinian brewery Barley, once poured into the classic tulip glass, presents itself with a pale amber color with bright orange hues, slightly hazy with a hazelnut foam cap, of beautiful finesse and persistence over time. On the nose, it expresses multifaceted and intense aromas ranging from citrus to lemon zest, from passion fruit to fresh fermenting must, with slight hints of spices and black pepper. Thanks to a skillful blend of Malvasia sapa and hops of New Zealand and American origin, the taste of the “BB9” manages to be harmonious and flavorful, with a rich aromatic and fruity component, notable winey and herbal hints, soft, rich, and enveloping, with a long spicy finish. An ode to beer that meets wine!
