Bianco 'Monte dei Frati' La Felce 2022

The White "Monte dei Frati" from the La Felce winery is the natural fruit of an enchanted territory, not far from the sea and immersed in a lush riot of plants and flowers, in a perfect Ligurian environment. The area where the winery is located is indeed that of Casano, in the province of La Spezia, in the territory of the Colli di Luni. The type of vinification and the way of working, both in the field and in the winery, of La Felce promotes the true and sincere expression of the territory. The 5.5 hectares of property are entirely cultivated according to a biological system, with the strong belief that the grape should be able to speak for itself, being rich in wonders to tell.

“Monte dei Frati” White is a pure Vermentino, coming from a vineyard of 2.5 hectares. The vines used have an average age of 40 years and thrive on sedimentary soils with abundant presence of sandstones. Once harvested strictly by hand, the bunches are transported to the winery, where they undergo a crushing and maceration of about 48 hours. The alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously through the indigenous yeasts inside containers of steel of 25 hl, in which the aging on its own lees also takes place for a total duration of 4 months.

The Felce “Monte dei Frati” presents a straw yellow color. The aroma reveals clear marine and Mediterranean hints, with an evident array of aromatic herbs that intertwines with a fruity note of yellow fruit and citrus. On the palate, it is savory, well integrated with freshness and juice. It maintains a good balance and is characterized by an enormous drinkability. It is a very pleasant white that "immediately feels like a vacation", recreating the aromas and flavors of a stunning postcard landscape.
