The “10th Generation” is a Cognac that originates in the heart of a magnificent terroir, where Maison Ferrand has managed a magnificent estate for four centuries. The art of creating great distillates has been passed down from father to son to this day and still lives within the walls of the historic cellars, which guard these precious elixirs. It is a tribute to a long tradition and in particular to the figure of Elie VIII, to whom many creations of the Maison are owed.many creations of the Maison. The grapes come from a selection of the best vineyards, cultivated in the Grande Champagne, Premier Cru of Cognac, characterized by soils composed of limestone and gypsum, very suitable for the cultivation of white grape varieties and in particular Ugni Blanc, the base of the best Cognacs. After harvesting, pressing, and fermentation, the base wines are sent for distillation in copper pot stills. The Cognac matures in French oak barrels, some of which were previously used for aging Sauternes.
