Etna Bianco 'Quantico' Giuliemi 2024
ArtisanalThe Etna Bianco Quantico is a Sicilian wine produced in accordance with and application of the principles of quantum physics, without the use of chemical additives, with maceration on the skins for 24 hours. With its intense golden yellow color, it expresses aromas of citrus and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is very fresh, deep, and mineral.
The Etna Bianco “Quantico” is born from the innovative and experimental production philosophy of the Giuliemi winery, based on the rejection of chemistry in favor of the application of the principles of quantum physics to wine and of processes as natural and spontaneous as possible. Thus, one of the most interesting interpretations of Etna Bianco is produced, whose tasting continues to amaze and convince even the most skeptical. The idea of a “magnetic” wine, produced without resorting to chemical substances both in the vineyard and in the cellar, in accordance with the theories of Max Planck, according to which, for example, the heavy particles that make up matter and the forces of energy, that is, the quanta, would be able to influence the development of living beings, is increasingly gaining attention and has won over a good number of enthusiasts.
The Etna Bianco “Quantico” by Giuliemi is made from Carricante, Catarratto, and Grillo grapes grown at 600 meters above sea level on sandy volcanic soil. The study and management of electromagnetic fields in the vineyard, through the measurement and correction of frequencies with the Theos system, would protect, according to the supporters of the project, the plants from pests and harmful microorganisms and would make the use of fertilizers or other treatments unnecessary.electromagnetic waves in the vineyard, through the measurement and correction of frequencies with the Theos system, would protect, according to project supporters, the plants from pests and harmful microorganisms and would make the use of fertilizers or other treatments unnecessary. During the winemaking process, no enzymes or additives are added: the must ferments spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts, the skins are left in maceration for 24 hours and the management of electromagnetic waves would allow the rejection of the use of sulfites at every stage of production without the risk of oxidation.
The “Quantico” presents itself as a very fresh, rich, and intense white wine, with a golden color and aromas of broom, ripe citrus, and many aromatic herbs, where chamomile and juniper berries can also be recognized. The sip reveals structure, notable mineral depth, aromatic richness, excellent freshness, and sapidity. In conclusion, it is fair to state that, despite the scientific value of a quantum production process not yet being recognized, recognized, the results are exciting and the Etna Bianco "Quantico" has managed to win over an increasing number of enthusiasts.
