The "Kratos" is a fresh and elegant Fiano with a beautiful personality. Typical aromas of almonds, hazelnuts, linden, and broom, along with balsamic nuances, accompany a sip of good freshness and savoriness, dynamic and surprising

The Fiano “Kratos” by Luigi Maffini originates in Campania, particularly in the beautiful area of Cilento in Castellabate. The first vineyard was planted by Luigi's father in 1970, initially for home production and then over time developed into a more significant and organized production. A few years later, it was Luigi with his wife Raffaella who gave a turning point to the activity, modernizing production technologies and taking care of every single detail in the vineyard: in 1996 the first Kratos was born, an elegant and unique wine. With the help of Luigi Moio, Luigi learns to enhance the intrinsic characteristics of the territory in the best possible way, producing successful products of rare quality.

The vineyards of Fiano “Kratos” by Luigi Maffini take root on the gentle hills of Cilento and are surrounded by green expanses of olive trees that slope down to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The exposure is southwest, an optimal position for the sun's rays to frequently hit the rows, giving excellent ripening to the grapes. The soil derives fromthe sea and this has made it alkaline with substantial presence of clay, marlstone, and limestone, better defined as Cilento flysch; it also absorbs rainwater easily, becoming lush and welcoming for the vine. The harvest takes place in the third decade of August and ends in the first half of September; in the winery, the grapes undergo soft pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in steel. It ages in steel for 4 months.

To the eye, the Fiano “Kratos” by Luigi Maffini presents itself with a straw yellow color with intense reflections. On the nose, it releases hints of exotic fruit, kiwi, and honey, along with notes of broom and almond; on the palate, it is balanced, pleasant, and enveloping with a long, pleasant savory-acid finish that calls for glass after glass. It pairs excellently with dishes based on smoked salmon, appetizers seasoned with light creams, and fried fish; interesting also with shellfish and mollusks. Perfect for a pleasant romantic dinner by the sea at sunset in summer, to enjoy a product that is an undisputed ambassador of its land of origin.
