The Fiano "Pietraincatenata" by Luigi Maffini is a fragrant white wine aged in new barriques for 8 months. Complex, fruity, mineral, and spicy. Full-bodied on the palate, with a soft, fresh, and persistent entry. Of pleasant taste body

The Fiano “Pietraincatenata” by Luigi Maffini originates in Giungano, in the beautiful and unspoiled territory of Cilento, characterized by slopes and green hills. Luigi graduates in Agricultural Sciences and simultaneously meets his future wife Raffaella, who is also an agronomist and equally passionate about viticulture. In 1996, they decided to open their business together, whose main objective has always been and currently is to give voice to indigenous grape varieties and the intrinsic potential of the territory with particular regard to the environment and the natural habitat surrounding their vineyards. For several years now, they have also chosen organic farming for the care of their crops.

The name of the Fiano “Pietraincatenata” by Luigi Maffini derives from the presence of an enormous boulder located near the vineyards and embedded in the rock. The vineyard area is about 3 hectares with a west/northwest exposure, receiving sunlight at certain times of the year. The winters here are quite rainy and with temperatures never excessively rigid, while in summer the climate is warm and temperate. The harvest is manual and takes place in the second half of September; in the winery, there is a gentle pressing of the grapes followed by alcoholic fermentation in wood. It ages in barrique for about 4 months.

The color of the Fiano “Pietraincatenata” by Luigi Maffini is an intense golden yellow with brilliant reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe exotic fruit, candied fruit, and dehydrated apricots; a pleasant slight mineral nuance on the finish. On the palate, it is rich, enveloping, and elegant with good persistence on the finish that invites glass after glass. It pairs perfectly with dishes based on light fried fish, first courses seasoned with shellfish and mollusks, and grilled swordfish. Perfect for carefree aperitifs by the sea at sunset in summer to savor the genuine and authentic flavors, skillfully expressed.
